HGTV Very Brady Remodel
"Working on HGTV's A Very Brady Renovation was really fun. We were being very specific about getting everything just right, so I made some artwork to go in the house.
I painted two small European street scenes, and an artwork like the one that was over Jan's bed. These were all inspired by art from the original series.
The two small street scenes, European Street Scenes 1 and 2, were hung in the family room on the back wall. For the Brady Reno, I also helped to furnish that room, shopping for the clock and the stereo. A custom cabinet was built for the stereo and special fabric was printed for the daybeds.
The piece for the girl's room is a mystery. No one remembers for sure where the original came from, so I attributed it to Jan. It may have been pastel, but I painted it in oil on panel because that was the best way for me to make sure the colors were right. I titled it, "If I Could Keep Angst In A Bottle" since Jan was known for drama."
